Adventures Surround Kihei Maui Condo
Beaches
Maui offers over 30 miles of amazing beaches. Many are easily accessible beach parks with lifeguards (like the Kamaole beaches just out your door) while others are undeveloped, pristine, "secret spots" a little off the beaten path. All of Maui's beaches are blessed with sparkling crystal-blue waters, tropical tradewinds, and majestic skies that seem to go on forever. Most of Maui's beaches have white sand but black and red sand beaches can also be found on your explorations. PLEASE REMEMBER: Even though the ocean is wonderful playground there are precautions to observe. Offshore winds, currents and weaves can be powerful and they can change suddenly. Use caution when warning signs are posted, or if conditions appear unsafe.
Golf
Maui is well known within the international golf community. The island boasts over 16 diverse courses catering to all ability levels and budgets. 4 courses (including the famed Wailea Blue, Gold and Emerald) are within a 5 minute drive.
Snorkeling
Great snorkeling is found at most beaches throughout Kihei and the rest of the Island. Just a few meters off the shoreline, even the most novice snorkeler can find an array of colorful marine life and common encounters with the area’s gentle sea turtles.
Diving
Maui is home to some well known dive spots and a large selection of accredited guides/tour operators.
Fishing
Awesome fishing abounds in Maui. Roughly 25 boats on the island offer deep sea sport fishing charters and there are a number of well known shore and reef fishing spots to choose from.
Surfing
World class surf breaks can be found across the island. Learn to surf at ‘The Cove’ – an often gentle longboard break just a couple minute walk from the condo – or watch top pro’s tackle North Shore spots like Ho’okipa and the infamous ‘Jaws’ on a big winter swell. Please show respect when in the water. Stay at breaks within your ability and ‘if in doubt, don’t go out’.
Hiking/Biking
Great hiking and biking trails can be found ‘Up Country’ on the slopes of Haleakala. A number of tour company’s offer bike rentals and trail guides. |
